Cowboy Musician, Jon Chandler Appearing at the Plains Hotel

July 20, 2006 -Cheyenne, WY... Award-winning western singer, songwriter Jon Chandler will perform at the historic Plains Hotel on Monday, July 24 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the main ballroom.  Chandler is well-known for his unique perspective on Americana music and as a best-selling author of western novels and poems.  He prides himself in keeping the frontier ethic alive and kicking. 

Chandler is a seventh-generation Coloradan, a descendant of “Pikes Peak or Bust” gold-rush pioneers.  His act takes him across the nation and regularly receives rave reviews.  The Los Angeles Daily News notes, “Chandler’s lovingly crafted songs cover a wide territory of moods and subgenres.” Swallow Hill Quarterly calls his songs “riveting chronicles,” while the Cowboy Hall of Fame’s Persimmon Hill claims that he brings “…a new and significant interpretation of the West through music today.”  Amazon.Com says, “Chandler’s wonderful rich tone adds to the haunting beauty of his meticulously written songs.”
