Plains Hotel Plays Important Role in Community
Staff members keep pioneer spirit alive through civic participation and volunteerism
2006, Cheyenne, Wyoming … The historic Plains Hotel, an icon in the Cheyenne community for more than 90 years, embodies the spirit of the early pioneers that settled the area. They joined together to face the hardships of the Western wilderness. Today, the staff at the Plains Hotel joins with other members of the community to keep that spirit alive. Here are a few examples:
·Jackie Goodman, Senior Sales Manager, is active in the Rotary Club of Cheyenne; volunteers for Meals on Wheels; and is a mentor for the Cheyenne East High School Hotel Management Team.
·Connie Lester, Director of Catering, is active in the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne.
·Debbie Disney, Director of Sales and Marketing, is active in the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce BIZlink group and Red Carpet committee; serves on the board for the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association; is chairman of the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Education Foundation; serves as a mentor for the Cheyenne East High School Hotel Management Team; and is a nominee to the Cheyenne Leads Board.
·Garry Sullivan, General Manager, is Vice-Chairman of the Cheyenne Convention and Visitors Bureau Board.
