MS Dinner of Champions to Honor Bob Jensen and Elaine Bernatow
May 17, 2006 -Cheyenne, WY... The Wyoming Division of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will host The Dinner of Champions on June 9th honoring Bob Jensen as the 2006 Hope Award Recipient and Elaine Bernatow as the 2006 MS Champion.
The Dinner of Champions is an evening dedicated to the vision of one day finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. This event helps families living with MS by supporting programs including counseling, education and medical referrals.
The Hope Award winner, Bob Jensen, co-owner of the historic Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, was selected for his dedication to raising funds for MS research. Jensen states, "We have watched with tremendous encouragement the major advances in treatment options driven by on-going research into the cause, treatment and cure of MS." Jensen was instrumental in starting the first MS Walk in Cheyenne in the early 1990's.
MS Champion, Elaine Bernatow of Torrington, WY was selected for her support of the National MS Society and her efforts to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. Bernatow had been involved in many fundraising programs for several years when she herself was diagnosed with MS in 1998. She is committed to help find a cure.
The event will be held at the Hitching Post Inn with a reception and cash bar at 6:00 PM and the dinner program beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets start at $100 per seat. Call 307-433-9559 for reservations.
